Photo Restoration and other Services available next week.

It is coming up to Valentine’s Day again … no comments necessary. The "Valentine’s Day" services providers and their recipients both seem to enjoy this occasion immensely. The spectators seem to derive greater excitement, on behalf of their friends and co-workers, especially at the sight of the decorated ‘baskets’ and helium filled balloons, dropped off at work places, where some of them will remain until Easter. Such is the Joy of Valentine’s Day. We should be mindful of those caught in maintaining Nature’s balance with respect to the Sorrows of Valentine’s Day, because without them we would not be able to enjoy Valentine’s Day as most of us do. Life is so short that we should all seek to enjoy it to the max, every day, no matter what comes our way. I expect that bMobile will treat us to yet another unforgettable experience with a triple bubble.

Christmas 2007 a senior citizen friend of mine presented me with a 40+ year old black and white passport sized photo for copying, enlarging and framing. Luckily the photo had been laminated, but it had stains and tear marks all over it, and part the border was missing. That 2X2 photo looked terrible so you could image how much worse it looked when scanned and enlarged to 8X10. Of course how it looked enlarged did not matter to the photograph’s owner, because sentimentality is a ‘strange and unique dimension’ where everyone is automatically "deaf, dumb, blind and dishonest". If you have been there you know what I mean. If you have not been there yet, your day will come. Trust me..!! Anyhow, the bottom line was that I could not frame that 8X10 picture knowing that photographic tools exist to fix the tear marks and remove the old age stains from the photograph. You have to see the before and after photos for yourself to appreciate the awesome power of the processing software we use these days. I cannot publish these before and after photos here because that would be unethical. Furthermore I would not even think of invading my friends privacy to ask if I can use the photo to demonstrate the restoration.

But where there is one photo in need of restoration, there has to be more. Photo Restoration will top my 2008 list of photographic services.  If you have old treasured photographs with marks, scratches stains, etc., locked away in an old trunk, we may be able to fix them. We are not magicians but I am beginning to believe that we are, given the fantastic results, which you can judge for yourself. Don’t wait for the advertisement in the local newspapers, get a jump on this now. Please direct your queries and/or questions to us at  qualityphotolab@gmail.com and do keep an eye out for our billboards and new home fabricated web-site. I have free web-site building software that I need to try out.

In addition to Photo Restoration there are a couple other 2008 services to brighten your day and heighten some of your personal experiences. To wit, your own custom made laminated posters. You imagine it, we print it poster size and laminate it. This is a low cost photo product printed on coated paper and laminated for long life, and may represent a far better value for money than the custom glossy photo paper poster print going for twice the price. Blow your photographs up to any size, A4/letter – 8.5X11, A3 – 11X17, A2 – 17X22, A1 – 22X34, or any custom size in between but not wider than 22-inches. When there is a demand for A0 – 34X44 laminated posters we will provide that service too. Stick your custom laminated photos on your bedroom doors or bedroom ceiling, or where ever it makes your day or night.  This laminated picture can be mounted outside in the weather and can be expected to last for quite a few years because it is UV protected and also printed with a waterproof ink. This is the ideal way to provide yourself with low cost personal and business signs and notices for indoor or outdoor use. You provide the high quality artwork in JPG, EPS, or PDF file format, and we print and laminate it at an unbeatable price.

Your custom laminated posters lend themselves very nicely to your custom photo calendars/planners. You can use the same pictures for the posters to produce the calendars/planners for your own personal [eyes only] viewing or for your friends and relatives. The calendars can be printed in any size format not exceeding 22-inches wide. Other media options include [a] non-laminated glossy photo paper 36-inches wide and [b] non-laminated coated paper 42-inches wide. The photo calendar/planner formats include day, week, month, two month, six month,  one year, two year, three year and four year template and, voila, you have your wall size laminated custom photo calendar/planner, just like that. All of this will be on the web site I am going to build shortly and samples will be available for viewing at the LAB.

For people having a little difficulty finding suitable content, graphic or photo for their posters I have available a database of over 30,000 public domain pictures of "Celebrities" [Movie, TV and Music] all decently clad, nothing revealing, and I expect that you should be able to find something suitable and to your satisfaction. Be advised that we do not indulge in or print any indecent or pornographic like content. So don’t even ask.

Sometime you may need a one day one use poster, notice or billboard for that special event or promotion. This is the low cost non-laminated no size limit prints on coated paper with waterproof inks. We do not offer a mounting service for the billboard sized printed paper products but I am sure that local Graphics operators like Googal and G Squared Arts can handle that job admirably. This outdoor billboard print will last more than 3 months in the weather, and almost a lifetime when covered with acrylic/Plexiglas sheets. These low cost one use non-laminated wide format billboard sized prints are used for backdrops at the Carnival City performance stage and at various Televised Promotions and events. With care these backdrops can be carefully rolled up and reused for quite a few times.

First, restore your old photographs then share them, spread the joy among family and friends.
